About Me

If you've somehow come across this, then g'day.

I decided to start this blog out of wanting to share information I've learnt in a detail that I hope others can pick up and find it useful, even the more obscure things not found often.

About Me

I've tinkered with pretty much anything I was able to get my hands onto since I was a kid, although most of those things would end up broken or not working afterwards. The first proper device I got was a 2012 Nexus 7, and kid me absolutely loved it. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, put custom kernels and custom ROMs on it. Of course things broke on it inevitably, but it's what I enjoyed doing: tinkering with it, breaking it, repeat. That spirit is still with me to this day, but less of the breaking stuff.

I discovered Linux around 2015-2016, and first installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Although I didn't use it properly until 2018 when I started dual booting it, I explored other distributions until I settled on Manjaro Linux. Sadly Manjaro wasn't stable enough and kept breaking, and so I eventually bit the bullet and moved to Arch Linux, which I currently still use. I've been full-time with Arch Linux since 2020, which taught me a lot about how it works, and to maintain my own system along with any services I run.
